Primary Location: Tulsa, OK

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Compensation: $95,000-$105,000.00 + bonus, + benefits (salaried, non-exempt)

About This Role and About You

The Quality Chemist at our Tulsa, OK Ultra-Pure sulphuric acid production facility is part of a team that safely meets the needs for producing highly specialized materials supporting a rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing industry that will be highly dynamic over the next decade.

The Automation and Control Specialist will provide engineering level support for Automation (Distributed Control, Programmable Control, Safety and Instrument Systems), Process Control (Regulatory, Advanced Control, Safety Control, Optimization, Manufacturing Execution Systems, PI Historian, Process Information Systems and Industrial IT), and Electrical (Low-High Voltage) Systems as part of the Plant Maintenance and Engineering Department to support plant operation, projects, optimization and plant systems administration.

Qualifications

*Professional Electrical, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist preferred. Journeyman Craftsman (Electrician or Instrumentation) will be considered with demonstrated engineering level experience.
*Minimum of 10 years of experience in a plant environment.
*Must have 4 - 7 years design, configuration and administration of DCS and PLC hardware and software and Industrial IT and Process Control design. Siemens PCS 7 and Aveva PI Historian experience preferred.
*Some experience with Instrumentation design and support preferred.
*Prior experience leading and managing projects and project teams.
*Knowledge of industrial electrical power system design concepts and industrial instrumentation design.
*Desired but not essential 4 - 7 years experience with low, medium and high voltage electrical systems design and/or support. Experience with rectification of AC power to DC power (up to 600V and 150kA).

Responsibilities

*Provide key leadership, engineering and subject matter expertise in collaboration with the Corporate Automation, Control & Electrical Engineering (ACE) department on Electrical Engineering, Advanced Control and Optimization Engineering.
*Lead identification, justification and implementation of ACE improvement projects.
*Participate as part of the Chemtrade ACE Workgroup to audit, identify and lead improvements at Tulsa that leverage Chemtrade best practices, standards and documentation processes.
*Establish and lead implementation of annual ACE improvement and resource plans as part of the ACE Workgroup to deliver plant and Chemtrade-wide improvement initiatives.
*Assume overall (ACE related) project responsibility including preparation, administration, and distribution of AFEs and assisting in capital project review, development and implementation.
*Oversee day-to-day systems support and maintenance of DCS/PI Historian/PLC/Instrument & Electrical systems.
*Support and develop Automation, Control and Electrical systems.
*Assist I/E Maintenance in the development and improvement of maintenance programs, spares and reliability.
*Provide subject matter expertise for DCS, Aveva PI historian, PLC, Instrumentation, Electrical, Safety Control and Industrial IT.
*Act as the plant IT representative by overseeing IT infrastructure and applications in liaison with Corporate IT for business systems and ACE Engineering for shared infrastructure and applications (business integration with process DMZ, control networks).
*Troubleshoot the DCS and high voltage electrical system for problem areas and correct as required.
*Liaise with ACE Engineering and external experts regarding DCS, Advanced Control, Optimization, Process Information, Business Systems Integration, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Control Systems and Safety Systems as appropriate.
* Maintain, modify and update the PM requirements of the DCS and high voltage electrical system.
*Conduct hazard reviews and complete the MOC process ensuring MOC procedure is followed and all appropriate forms are completed.
*Keep up to date on current technology and technical developments.
*Ensure systems comply with policy, standards, procedures and are working towards Chemtrade's established (ACE) best practices.
