Position Overview

We are currently looking to add a dynamic UVM Lead Specialist to our passionate team of environmental professionals.

Job Duties

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with major electric/gas utility system and address its forestry needs

  • Support vegetation management operations and outside contractor work performance

  • Execution of desired projects/reports

  • Work independently to solve moderate to highly complex problems and take new perspectives on existing solutions, plans, and goals

  • Perform lead duties for emergency response

  • Support operations and work on process improvement initiatives, schedule, and coordination of vegetation management activities

  • Communicate with landowners and agencies regarding work on or near their property

  • Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions

  • Coordinate with project managers, planners, and vegetation crews

Qualifications

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Drive to be a project leader and DRG Pacific Services representative

  • Strong planning and organizational skills; focused on delivering program results

  • High level of ownership in one's own work and the results of the program

  • Desire to work daily with other contractors, DRG leadership and PG&E clients

  • Thrives on adaptation, continual learning and training and is detail oriented

  • Possesses a high level of utility vegetation management and arboriculture knowledge

  • Has ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather

  • ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Utility Specialist, ISA Municipal Specialist, TRAQ Certified, CTSP, RPF, and other advanced industry certifications

  • Transmission experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience

  • Four (4) years of job-related experience

  • Clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle on rough roads
