Manufacturing Operator

Manufacturing Operators are responsible for all aspects of production from start to finish. This includes maintaining a clean and safe operating environment, preparing for changeovers, testing product quality, efficiently operating machines, planning materials for production, immediately reporting any concerns/issues with safety, machines, quality, etc. to the appropriate individual, and more.

This may include opportunities within and outside of the Production Department.

Shifts Available

12 HOUR (AM) 7AM-7PM*Rotating Weekends/6 Hours on Wednesday*
12 HOUR (PM-Overnight) 7PM-7AM Rotating Weekends/6 Hours on Wednesday

Safety

• Understand and follow all safety procedures and policies.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures established by the company.
• Take personal responsibility for own safety and fellow employees, correcting and/or assisting in thecorrection of any safety hazard identified.
• Immediately report any safety concerns/issues to the appropriate individual

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate extrusion or converting lines and support high-quality product.
• Reviews order specifications to ensure the correct packaging supplies and raw materials are available to produce a product that meets the customer's specifications.
• Observes and checks finished film coming off the production lines and takes immediate corrective action to eliminate the causes of a sub-standard product.
• Remove and package finished rolls from machine.
• Monitors equipment to ensure it is operating properly and under supervision of the Lead Operator performs routine maintenance on equipment.
• Complete daily production paperwork and troubleshoot stoppages and breakdowns.
• Under the direction of the Lead Operator may train team members correct operating procedures, safety, and quality policy procedures.
• Learn and comprehend all equipment so adjustments can be made if/when needed.

Quality

• Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined at Pregis
• Perform all aspects of the position to the highest quality.
• Report any non-conformance to Supervisor immediately.
• Know all quality standards and expectations of the position and if not sure, ask the supervisor beforecontinuing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years' manufacturing experience in a production environment.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis' total compensation package. Compensation also includes a competitive benefits package and may also include bonuses, and other on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is estimated to be $20.36 per hour.
